We are now looking for a
Trade Finance Specialist / Controller
to join our
Business Finan
ce and Reporting
team in Valmet Flow Control Business Line.
In this role your main job is to support our project business and to mitigate financial risks and safeguard project margins. You will also make sure that all Valmet Treasury and Contract Policies are applied in terms of contractual guarantees. You will be working in close cooperation with the relevant Flow Control Business Unit and Sales, Flow Control business finance and Valmet Trade Finance/Treasury.
The responsibility area includes:

Contract guarantees administration: Bank and Corporate Guarantees -
Support for Flow Control Sales, Business Unit (mainly Projects) and procurement related to trade finance matters

Link between the Flow Control Business Line and Valmet Treasury (Global trade finance)

Letter of Credit support in Flow Control sales and order execution phases

Other finance reporting tasks being part of Flow Control finance organization
Requirements:
To succeed in this position, you need to have a diploma in finance or equivalent. You also have extensive knowledge of Bank and Corporate Guarantees and Letter of Credit matters. You have knowledge of tax accounting, tax laws and (Valmet) accounting rules and foreign VAT regulations and practices. You also have experience in using the required applications (M3, HFM) and have strong written and verbal communication skills in English. You work easily with excel, have precision with numbers and are used to working independently. You are good at organizing your own work and timetables and adapt easily to changing situations with a flexible can-do mindset. You are used to working in a multicultural matrix organization and are good at building up and maintaining relations across multiple regions and areas.

This position is based in Vantaa, Finland which is the main location of Flow Control Business Line in Finland.
