Danfoss Editron is looking for a Mechanical Engineer, to join our Electrical Machines R&D team in Finland. You will be based in Lappeenranta.

Job Responsibilities


As our new Mechanical Engineer your main area of responsibility will be product development in new products along with maintenance and improvement of the current products and product platforms.

You work as part of a R&D teams by designing mechanical parts and assemblies.

You create and maintain the product and manufacturing data, the product structures and product documentation.

In addition to this, you provide technical support to other functions and departments.



Depending on the chosen candidate’s experience, interest and potential, final role and responsibilities can be adjusted.

Background & Skills


To be successful in this position

  • You have an appropriate technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) and some experience in product development and in mechanical engineering.
  • You are familiar with different materials and manufacturing processes. You also have a good readiness to work with 3D design tools and PDM/PLM systems. You can also utilize your other possible engineering skills in our multidisciplinary technical organization.
  • You have good written and spoken communication skills in English. Proficiency in the Finnish language is also an advantage. We appreciate fresh approach to designing and developing products to be competitive in the evolving market.
  • You are innovative, analytical, and solution-oriented with the ability to work well within a team.
